Bermuda Aquarium , opened in 1928, displays a variety of exquisite and unique marine life found on the Bermuda platform. Colourful wrasses, parrotfish and angelfish are shown along with large eels, groupers, barracuda and sharks. An exhibit on Bermuda's marine communities explains the importance of seagrass beds and coral reefs. Lilliputian marine life is found in several minature tanks which give a close look at bioluminescent corals, colourful decorator crabs and seahorses.
Blue Water Divers & Watersports operates from 3 locations on Bermuda, enabling their three custom dive boats to dive every site on the island. They operate year-round and provide a full-service dive center for PADI, NAUI and SSI certification and referrals.
Hartley's Undersea Walk in Bermuda allows you to explore the reefs wearing a Hartley diving helmet the way the earliest marine biologists did. You can pet and hold Oliver the grey snapper and carress Franklin the goldentailed eel, without the encumberance of a tank, mask or regulator. Your head stays dry. Wear your glasses or contacts. It is perfect for non-swimming spouses or certified divers who want to try something different.
